I am not a green smoothie person. Maybe because I haven't found one that I personally like, until recently I just threw a few things together and created a refreshing green sour smoothie. For those that really enjoy sour things, you would really find it quite refreshing, especially on a hot day.
Here's what you need:
Handful of Organic Baby Spinach
1/2 Peeled Lemon
1 Cup of Almond or Cashew Milk
A Piece of Fresh Ginger
1 Cup of Ice
If you want it less sour and more sweet, you can add 1/2 or another full banana. I also like to do this if I am pouring this mixture into my kids' popsicle molds. The color is beautiful and on top of that I love that it doesn't contain preservatives, nasty colorants, and artificial flavors that are found in most kid's popsicles that you find in stores.
